The Aurora Appeared on International Women’s Day | March 2025

We were graced with the Northern Lights on March 8, 40 minutes from Ottawa. This post is going to be simple. Here they are. Don’t stop celebrating International Women’s Day - no matter who takes it off a calendar…

Are you interested in learning how to photograph the Northern Lights? I offer workshops a few times a year!

The Aurora Arch.

Northern Light Pillars began to appear before the sky lit up even more!

This was the result of a substorm - this was all visible to the naked eye.

The clouds moved in and I called it a night. I love that the Aurora are still visible here.

Mark your calendars - International Women’s Day (every day) is next year March 8, 2026.

Here’s to a bright future for all of us.
