Around here, family photography sessions feel like you’re visiting your old cottage or favourite hiking trail. We are lucky to be located in Quebec’s beautiful forests on a lake, with trails throughout, so your family can move and explore. There’s even an old rope that’s been on a huge old white pine tree that seems to attract every.single.kid.that.visits.
Here, there’s room to run and dance and do somersaults. There’s room to pick stuff up and look at it, there are little outcroppings in the trails so your family can get some photos in the “right light”. After years of family photography, what I’ve created here is my dream location for photos! (and I hope yours too)
Portraits at the lake - yes, we can do that!
I’ve known this awesome family for over 25 years (or so) - we met while working at camp (yes, Davern!) before any of us were married or had children - and I was grateful to be invited to spend time photographing them! A two-hour photo session is enough to give everyone time to chill, get comfy and get a little goofy - which is the dream so we can create photos that really reflect who you are.
Down at the lake is the perfect spot for photos - and a great place to relax for a bit.
Fall is the perfect time for photos…no bugs!
Due to the firesmoke this year (2025), we needed to reschedule their session - and of course, the timing worked out perfectly. Family photos in the fall in Val des Monts, Quebec is perfection. Cool but not cold, the bugs are gone, and the fall colours are at their peak.
